Tomorrow starts the great season of Lent, a season I think I sometimes enjoy a little too much. But this post isn’t yet about Lent.

This is an extension of their Faithful Citizenship News section. You can sign up for emails here. It’s the least we can do, and understanding what’s going on around us is a mandate for any Catholic.
Does that mean you’re not blogging for Lent?
It certainly does seem that way, doesn’t it? But no, that’s not my intent, it’s just worked out that way this week. My kids are on vacation and between them and work I haven’t been able to form many coherent blogging thoughts. I’ve also been trying to use whatever spare time I have to catch up on my Bible and Catechism reading, of which I’m woefully, dreadfully behind. You’d not think this all would be so hard…
