One of the primary reasons I looked into Catholicism lo those many years ago was the papacy. I just couldn’t get around “you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church” (Mt. 16:18). It should come as no surprise that these very words are the basis of a beautiful song, as the Church has always expressed her great joys in music.
